A Beginning

Well, today i think I will once again begin to blog the chronicles of my existence in this world as we know it.

The Farm:
Bad weather all day yesterday.  I forgot to check the rain gauge,  but the chicken pens were pretty flooded.  Made for a miserable time trudging through the muck to feed, collect eggs and water the chickens.  No loss of life which was a great thing.  Eggs were in pretty good shape.  Five quail hatched last night and I started more eggs.

The Job:
Yesterday was a zoo at work, but had a pretty productive day.  Many things accomplished, but much more to be done.

Outlook:
Today the weather is supposed to be bad again with a chance of heavy thunderstorms.  So far we haven't had any rain, but it is cloudy.  Looking forward to a long weekend, but it will be a busy one.  Working with Pop on Friday, Market in Robertsdale, AL on Saturday.  Sunday and Monday currently open, but have a lot of "need to do" project.

This weekends tasks:
  • Move the chicks to a pen
  • Need to start building a new pen
  • Work on breaking the garden spot again
  • Help Mom rearrange the shop some more.
More to come...

Today's thought:
"I want to do at least one thing each day to improve myself, my family and the world around me."

Spring is in the air.  As the world begins to change from variations of browns to warmth and greens changes are inevitable.  As with the world around me, so to will I have changes this Spring.  Changes that are personal and create a new direction for me and my family.
